Overview

Entry systems are an effective way to manage access, and ultimately the security, of a home, business or building.

They are designed to regulate access to particular areas by only allowing authorised personnel access, whether this is automatically though an access control system or manually through an intercom system.

As well as providing security, these systems can also help with the management of various facilities; they eliminate the need for multiple keys or locks and they also remove the need for manual control of access.

Access Control

Access control systems are designed to allow authorised personnel access to certain areas of a building or area. Access cards, fobs or codes are assigned to known users and when a valid one is presented to a reader or keypad, the door or gate in question opens. Systems range from small standalone units covering one or two access points, all the way through to networked systems covering multiple doors and optionally, integrating into third party systems.

Intercom Systems

Intercom systems are similar to access control systems but are typically used when dealing with unknown users and/or the public. A request for access is generated first prior to being allowed or denied access, usually by someone already within the premises. Intercoms can be audio only or audio and video, and allow you to communicate with visitors before allowing them into to your premises. Typical scenarios include visitor entrances, main doors and locked gates.

Video Doorbells

For domestic situations we are also able to install video doorbells. These are very similar to intercoms and provide basic functionality, allowing you to interact with any visitors to your property before answering the door.
